We can fix almost anything. Tower PCs, Laptops, Tablets and Cellphones are the most common but we see odd things from time to time too. Our rates are $75/hour in the shop or $100/hour on site. Most jobs take less than an hour. We replace power ports, batteries, screens, and circuit boards. We remove viruses, restore lost files, remove junk, and eliminate unnecessary programs that may slow down your computer.
When it’s time to upgrade, we will let you know if your device is worth the effort and expense of an upgrade before we do any work. The most common upgrades we see are upgrades from old fashioned hard drives (HDD) to solid state drives(SSD). This makes a huge difference in performance and more than a few people have told us it’s like a brand new computer. Another common upgrade is RAM. Older computers with only 4GB of RAM struggle with newer operating systems. Upgrades from 4GB to 8GB or 16GB are common. There are, unfortunately, situations where the hardware is too old to support newer operating systems like Windows 11. Support for older operating systems ends a few years after a new one comes out, so the old systems become more and more susceptible to threats from the internet. If you find yourself in a situation where your operating system is no longer receiving updates and the hardware will not allow you to upgrade to the new operating system, it’s time for a new system.
